Bizcaps Eziform® Entry level GS1net publishing
Bizcaps Eziform® is a system that has been designed to allow you to provide your customers with the data they need in the format they want, all from a single application. The system may have a complicated structure behind the scenes, but users will see the information in a simple form layout. Once users have understood the layout, then there should be no delay in being able to provide data to trading partners in the way they want. This may be via GS1net (to which Eziform uploads automatically) or using a retailer specification form.
How does it work ?
Simple. Users firstly add their own company information, then their customer’s information and finally their product information. The system uses this information when sending data to trading partners to populate the different forms and GS1net fields as required. Users do not need to understand the complexities of the system (like driving a car today with all the technology inside). As new products or changes to product information (such as pricing) are introduced, then users simply update the system.
What does Eziform look like ?
Apart from the Help and an explanation of GS1net and what is required for companies to use GS1net, the system is based on the following three tabs of information.
Company Details. This information is needed to provide your company details and brand names to customers in the right way, with contact names, addresses, ABNs etc on the submissions. It is also where you can set up how the system configures your information to minimize having to repeat data when you are inputting it. For example, if you always have the same lead time, then you can set this up in your profile and you will not be asked the question again. This is the same for a number of fields.
Customer Details.Having established your own company details, this is where you set up your trading terms (i.e. Ullage, Warehouse allowance, etc) and market areas for each retailer you trade with. Eziform comes already populated with details for major retailers. If you would like other retailers added to the form, then please contact Bizcaps about this.
Products. Having input your own company details and then your customer profiles, the final step is to update your own product records. The information is displayed in a simple format, separated into the sections for pricing, product information, packaging configuration and dangerous goods information, (which may not be applicable to all companies). Again, the system is designed so that you can set up information in the system at the start of your activities and then apply that information to multiple products, so reducing the amount of input time and also helping to keep your data consistent and accurate. Anyone who has filled out the retailer submission forms should have no problems here.
Packaging Configuration. The packaging section also details your pack specifications. This is made up of the actual packaging materials and also the configuration of how many items go into the next level of packaging. Eziform is designed so that you input your different packaging configurations and then apply them to your packaging. The reason for this being that many companies have products that are all in the same type and size of container, especially cartons.
Dangerous Goods. In the same way that packaging is pre-configured, so are dangerous goods. Users enter the dangerous goods classifications that apply to their products and then choose which products to apply those classifications to.
